Sierra Sky Ranch

 

Sierra Sky Ranch was established in 1875. It supplied much of the beef for the Sugar Pine and Soquel lumber camps. The ranch house was built at the turn of the century. In the 30’s it was used briefly as a tuberculosis sanitarium and in the 40’s a hospital for world war two patients. In 1946 it was named Sierra Sky Ranch officially and turned into a restaurant and resort. It has been a movie location on occasion and stars like John Wayne and Marilyn Monroe have stayed there.

 

 

The Haunting:

 

It is probably the most documented haunt in the central Sierra Nevada’s and had been featured on a few paranormal shows. Full body apparitions have been reported, items have moved on their own, and many other paranormal incidents have been reported by not only staff but also guests.
